As the struggle for hydrocarbon resources intensifies and the search for alternatives gathers pace, there are few issues facing civilization that are more sensitive than energy security: the balance of “security of supply” for consumer nations and “security of demand” for producer countries will lead to increasing cooperation or conflict depending on a wide set of variables. Mr. Angelus is currently President of USI Capital Corporation, a Washington-based energy
communications company with operations in the CIS and Eastern Europe; and is co-founder of USI
Global based in Dubai, UAE, which is focused on oil, gas, and power issues in Central Asia, North
Africa and the Middle East. He has worked on behalf of major U.S. companies internationally including
Pennzoil, Navistar, and Texaco, following public policy positions with Radio America in Washington D.C.
Mr Angelus is also co-founder of Panamerica in Washington consulting on political
developments in the US and Latin America. As a publisher of petroleum magazines in Poland
and Romania, Mr Angelus has organized a number of international events such as the Black Sea Oil & Gas Summit,
PetroGazTech, Liquid Fuels & Gas Conference, the Oil & Gas Congress in Romania, and the Polish International
Oil & Gas Summit. These endeavors address critical issues with academia, senior government officials,
and key corporate management â issues he currently contemplates as an author, publisher, and thought leader
on energy security . He is a member of the US-Russia Business Council, an organizer of the International
Energy Advisory Council, and is the founder of the Global Petroleum Club.
